Ways these Broncos together with the malleable QB could halt that Kansas City Chiefs' rule.

NFL 2025 season: Week six
Live coverage features live text of Sunday's games on various channels, starting with Denver Broncos v New York Jets at Tottenham (from 14:00 BST). Also, audio coverage is available through select stations covering another key matchup (beginning at 9 PM BST).
It's week six of the NFL season , following recent discussion regarding two top teams being a potential Super Bowl match-up, each surrendered their unbeaten records.
Notable in those games were the amount of penalties both committed. The Eagles did so in key moments so they essentially defeated themselves having led 17-3 going into the fourth period versus the Denver Broncos, set to play overseas this Sunday.
But it was positive to see that Denver quarterback the rookie was able to have that deficit before direct three scoring drives in three attempts in the fourth quarter, securing the victory 21-17.
The Broncos have the defensive player of the year in cornerback Pat Surtain II. They rank number one in red zone defence, while Philadelphia lead the league in red zone offence, and Denver prevailed in that battle.
They had effective strategies regarding simulated pressure. They did not necessarily rushing extra defenders instead they could plug two linebackers in the interior before withdrawing them and send a nickel off the edge.
At the start of the season, it was noted on a program how the Broncos might emerge as this season's surprise contenders. They ended the previous year well then excelled of building upon that.
Are the Denver Broncos this season's dark horses?
New tight end Evan Engram has stepped up significantly and new RB their rusher is a player the team trusts. He's currently fifth in the NFL in ground gains (402) and tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (four).
I love how the coach the Broncos' leader has "RUN IT!" prominently on his call sheet.
This demonstrates that the Broncos are a team aiming to run first, since you can achieve much based on that approach. It slows down the pass rush and maintains in favourable situations.
This has helped quarterback the young passer, who entered into the league as a first-round selection in the prior draft, throwing 29 touchdown passes – second only to a star QB in rookie records (31 in 2020).
Other elite QBs possess the arm strength to throw all over, but they lack in the same way as Nix. He has exceptional arm talent, which is different, plus he is so athletic.
His assets include his mobility, being able to pass while moving, and using varied release points to make throws when he rolls outside protection, on rollouts. He is able to throw precision throws across the middle or over the corner.
As a rookie QB, at 25, he's got a lot of poise in the pocket and is not really fazed by the blitz. He tries to evade a sack whenever possible and is able pass in tight spots. He possesses sharp intelligence and remains very decisive.
When you consistently rush it eats up time and makes the opponent to stay in play for longer, and if you have a mobile QB the defence has to defend the area downfield side to side. This proves draining.
The quarterback has pushed back at Payton on the sideline sometimes and I think the coach appreciates that attitude, seeing him as such a competitor. In my view it's exciting for him to coach a young quarterback that is kind of like moldable clay. The coach can truly build something up the way he desires to build it. I believe it's a unique opportunity for the coach.
The head coach has won a Super Bowl and now passed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen it all. In my opinion the achievements the Broncos are experiencing offensively is mostly due to his guidance, his schemes, his situational awareness – and the pairing with the QB helps shape him into who he is.
You wouldn't want a better guy in your ear, to assist you through some of the tougher situations and build self-belief.
I believe in Denver's defence, in the QB's grit and calm. But is the team strong enough to face a top squad at its best? Since that wasn't championship-level play by the Eagles in their last game.
Right now, I don't think Denver are elite. They're performing better than most, which is a solid position to be in the AFC West. The key to do is maintain this path.
They're really good at embracing their forte, that is running the ball, and this is precisely what they must do versus the New York Jets at Tottenham. It will likely be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.
New York have surrendered 140 yards on the ground each contest (among the worst), five rushing touchdowns this season (10th worst), and they are the only team without a win a game.
Ever since the league started recording turnovers in 1933, this team are also the first team to go without any turnovers in five outings, this is surprising when you think that the head coach was previously defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.
The Chiefs' QB stated Kansas City are off to a poor start following a recent loss to Jacksonville.
After this Sunday's game, Denver have a smooth-ish schedule up to their bye (in week twelve) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans plus the Raiders before the Kansas City Chiefs.
Looking at the AFC West, the Chiefs are 2-3 and the Broncos are even with the Chargers at 3-2 so they could make a run for the top of the West.
It depends on what version of the Chiefs they face because the Broncos {beat|def
