Within the fiercely contested world of gaming, it's typical for emerging rivals to vanish as swiftly as they enter the scene.
But the latest Battlefield is hoping to change that.
It's the most recent addition in a established military shooter franchise often described as a grittier alternative to the CoD series.
This game has never quite managed to equal its top rival in aspects of sales or user base, but there are signs the recent entry could close the gap.
A trial session enabling users a chance to test the game in recent months achieved milestones, and the hype approaching its launch has been massive.
However the project is nonetheless a big venture for developer the gaming giant, which has allegedly allocated hundreds of millions of dollars producing it.
Reporters have spoken to some of the creators to learn how they hope it will be profitable.
Creation Team and Developer Partnership
Four studios are creating the project under the Battlefield Studios initiative.

New Artist Brings New Insight
