GOP state leaders in several US regions have positioned National Guard units on standby ahead of massive protests opposing Donald Trump and his agenda.

Planners of the "Anti-Authoritarian" initiative stated that gatherings are arranged at exceeding 2,500 locations across the nation.
As per rally leaders, the previous Anti-Monarchy event in June brought out over five million demonstrators denouncing Trump's governmental direction.
Local Measures
Governors in the Lone Star State and Virginia have publicly deployed their state's National Guard forces, though the degree of military involvement remains uncertain.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott mentioned the "scheduled antifa-linked demonstration" as justification for activating regional military personnel.
Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin correspondingly ordered deployment of the regional National Guard contingent.
Political Responses
Rally leaders characterized the events as resistance to Trump's "authoritarianism."

Several Republicans have termed the rallies as "Hate America" assemblies.
Kansas Senator Roger Marshall according to sources commented before the protests: "We must deploy the National Guard."

Opposition Reaction
Democratic representatives criticized the mobilization of National Guard personnel.
Texas Democrat Gene Wu asserted: "Dispatching equipped soldiers to quell calm demonstrations is exactly what dictators and dictators do — and Greg Abbott just demonstrated he's among them."
